Founder, CEO, Director.
Robert Couture is the founder and owner of 10FoldMoto / 10Fold Steel.
I began my career as an eBay seller when I was 20 years old (Aug 06, 2011), running a successful business until the COVID-19 pandemic devastated my operations and forced me to seek new opportunities. I joined Wesgar Inc., where I worked as a powder coater and grinder for 1 year and 6 months, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry.
From there, I transitioned to Metalcraft Technology Inc., continuing my work in powder coating and grinding while adding assembly to my skillset during my 3-month tenure. Following this, I worked at Cobotix Manufacturing Inc. for another 3 months in a similar role.
During this period, I faced a significant personal challenge when my Google and Meta ad accounts were hacked, resulting in $1,600 in unauthorized charges. While my bank recovered the funds, both platforms permanently locked my accounts unless I paid for charges made by the hacker, adding stress to my career path.
Afterward, I briefly worked at Northwest Plastics Ltd as a Roto Mold Machine Operator for 2 weeks while searching for a better fit. I eventually joined Code Electric Ltd as a grinder and worked hard to earn a promotion to Assembler. Over 2 years and 7 months, I committed myself to this role, but challenges arose. I am trained to work in a lean environment, where efficiency and organization are paramount. However, my boss expected lean work without providing a lean workplace—the environment was messy, and no one took responsibility for maintaining order. This led to an argument with my boss, ultimately resulting in my layoff.
After gaining a wealth of experience in selling on eBay and learning the steps involved in manufacturing, including CAD design, I decided to take the next step in my career. I am now starting a prototyping company that focuses on creating prototypes and final products. My company offers services such as 3D scanning, 3D printing, and CNC machining to deliver precision and quality from concept to final product.
